This Hall and Oates tune is cool because they alternate between major(chorus) and minor(verse) and then they have a nice middle 8 setup.
I know Hall and Oates had other songs that used drum machines in the intro etc., but I’m trying to figure out what was the first #1
Listening to “I Can’t Go For That” wondering if it is the first song to hit #1 that exclusively uses a drum machine. Does anyone know?

What I particularly enjoy about the song is that the intro begins in Eb and then works its way through two other keys to get home to D.
